Trust in local government is earned through honest leadership, professional conduct, accountability, and consistent decisions.

Trust: I will work to rebuild confidence through ethical leadership, respect and decorum at council, accountability for decisions, and fair treatment for residents, businesses, and community organizations. Decisions should be based on what is right for Haldimand, not politics, personalities, special interests or who someone knows.

Transparency: Residents deserve clear information about how their municipality operates and how their tax dollars are spent. I will focus on stronger financial transparency, clearer explanations behind major decisions, improving public reporting on projects and priorities, and information that is easy to find and understand.

Engagement: Local government works best when it stays connected to the community. I will remain accessible across Haldimand, listen directly to our residents, businesses, organizations, and volunteers, and make sure people know their concerns are being heard.

Balanced Growth: Support only the right development, in the right place, at the right time, while protecting our farmland, green space, rural communities, and the character of Haldimand.

Planned Infrastructure: Roads, water, wastewater, recreation, emergency services, and other municipal infrastructure must be planned alongside growth so communities remain complete and wellserved.

Jobs and Investment: Attract new commercial and industrial investment that creates local jobs, strengthens our business parks, and expands the tax base to ease pressure on residential taxpayers.

Improved Service: Build a culture across Haldimand County focused on customer service, clear answers, practical solutions, predictable timelines, and helping residents, businesses, and community organizations move things forward.

Better Value: Review services, staffing, programs, and spending to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and make sure taxpayers receive full value for every dollar spent.

Recreation and Community Amenities: Improved recreation facilitites, parks, trails, green space, and community amenities, including opportunities for community dog parks.

Expanded Value: Evaluate opportunities to provide existing Haldimand County services to neighbouring municipalities or other partners where it can generate revenue, improve service levels, and create better value for Haldimand taxpayers.

Maximize County Assets: Evaluate solar generation and other practical opportunities at suitable facilities, such as arenas and public works buildings, where they can reduce operating costs, support cleaner operations, or generate additional revenue.

Continuous Improvement: Make ongoing service and operational improvements part of how Halidmand County works, better processes, technology, and new ideas where they provide measurable benefit.

Civic Pride: Keep Haldimand’s communities clean, attractive, and well maintained through improved upkeep of roads, sidewalks, parks, trails, signage, streetscapes, and public spaces.

Safer Neighbourhoods: Support community-based safety programs such as Neighbourhood Watch and Block Parent, working with residents, police, and community partners.

Protect Residents: Introduce bylaws around door-to-door solicitation to protect residents from unwanted and fraudulent sales practices.

Traffic and Pedestrian Safety: Take a more practical approach to traffic calming, speed management, pedestrian safety, and the timely use of measures such as speed humps where appropriate.
